Insurance

I accept Huky (medicaid) and Anthem (Blue Cross/Blue Shield).

Please note: Many insurances, such as Cigna, Aetna, United Oxford, etc, do have the option to cover up to 100% of the costs sessions with an out-of-network provider.

Insurance panels often are closed and will only selectively allow new providers to join. Some panels are closed and have been closed for many years to new providers. Hence, it might be difficult for you to find a provider still in your area who accepts your insurance.

Often times, paneled providers are paid significantly less than their full fee. Some providers are able to get paid slightly more than this less than full fee. However, often time, insurance companies cap how much they will pay out for a session. Some companies pay as low as $50 a session but might give an out-of-network provider a larger session fee, some as high as $150.

Most of the time, you have the option to choose which therapist you wish to see. Even if you have an HMO plan, a provider might be able to sign up for a “single-case agreement” and provide services for you. Please consider this when you’re making your selection based solely on if a provider accepts your insurance.

Please note, Medicare is very strict on who they will and won’t cover. There are no single case agreements with them.
